The primary purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 – Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) is to provide LHD Medical and Forensic Service responses to violence, abuse and neglect (VAN), including Sexual Assault and Domestic and Family Violence.

 

Whilst predominately providing a direct forensic medical response to adults and young people, you will also be required to support and coordinate the forensic medical response for children. The CNS 2 will be part of the district team that services the Illawarra and Shoalhaven community. You will work within the psychosocial-led NSW Health Sexual Assault Service model of care to provide, trauma- informed medical care and forensic examinations (within scope) to young people and adults.
