About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports optimal health outcomes for clients and their carers.

In this role, you will provide expert clinical advice to clients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring therapeutic techniques and care models are grounded in evidence-based practice. You’ll be responsible for independently managing routine clinical matters, while collaborating with senior staff on complex or critical cases. Your work will involve assessing client needs, implementing targeted interventions, and evaluating progress to ensure goals are met. A key focus will be on enhancing client and carer functionality in their preferred environments and facilitating safe, coordinated discharge planning. You’ll also work closely with other service providers to ensure continuity of care across settings.

Join us in making a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients and their families. If you're passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy and thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment, we’d love to hear from you. This temporary role is available until October 2025, with a potential view to extend based on service needs.
