Are you a dynamic and experienced mental health nursing leader looking to make a meaningful impact? Join the Mental Health Service at the Mater Campus, Newcastle, as a Nurse Unit Manager, where you'll provide operational and professional leadership within a 100-bed acute mental health facility.

About the Role
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead an inpatient mental health unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will play a pivotal role in driving a positive culture, implementing change, and fostering professional development among nursing staff. This role is an opportunity to shape the future of mental health care by building strong relationships, advocating for patients, and ensuring excellence in care delivery.

You will be part of the Mental Health Centre Nursing Leadership Team, working under the guidance of the Senior Nurse Manager Operations – Mental Health Centre and ISMHU. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining best practices, mentoring staff, and enhancing the patient and carer experience.

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
