Nurse Unit Manager
An opportunity to lead a dynamic team, Hornsby Mental Health Intensive Care Unit (MHICU) is a 12 bed specialist resource available within Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Mental Health Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) which is reserved to provide Psychiatric Intensive Care to consumers identified as presenting with high degree of acute clinical risk, diagnostic and management complexity or acute symptomology of a mental illness/disorder.
Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 19 January 2026 (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration: $2,619.70 per week

What you'll be doing
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience Mental Health Service, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
- Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
