The Department of Radiation Oncology at Royal North Shore Hospital is looking for a Radiation Oncologist for the management of patients with Lung and Head & Neck Cancer

Hours Per Week: up to 32
- Lung and Head & Neck Cancers outpatients' clinics
- Inpatient management of Lung and Head & Neck patients
- Multidisciplinary Care and leading MDT meetings
- Supervising and managing advanced trainees, and medical students.
- Involvement in clinical trials in Lung and Head & Neck and early-phase research
Purpose of the Position
Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within the District.
This position is temporary with the possibility of temporary extension based on performance, funding and need
Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.

- Appropriate experience to practice as a Medical Practitioner in Radiotheraphy.
- Demonstrated experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques and as a consultant in Head & Neck and Lung Cancer practice in Australia or internationally
- Demonstrated experience in translational research in Head & Neck and Lung Cancers
- Demonstrated relevant clinical practice at a high standard commensurate to experience.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical officers, and published research as relevant to the position and interest in the RANZCR Education Programme and supervision of advanced trainees in Radiation Oncology
