Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is looking for a Director Legal Services to oversee legal matters for the district and be part of a passionate, driven and highly skilled executive team.

Where you'll be working
NSLHD Executive Unit, Kolling Building, St Leonards Campus

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Legal Services provides oversight on legal matters for NSLHD and guidance to the Executive team on how to resolve complex disputes in a manner that best protects the interests and supports the functions of NSLHD. This includes addressing
coronial, civil, commercial, privacy and GIPA applications.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

    1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
    2. Hold or eligible to hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW.
    3. A minimum of ten years post-admission experience, preferably in the public health sector, government legal roles, and/or private law firm
