MLHD - Post Graduate Fellow - Bariatric / Upper GI Surgery (Apply via eCredential)

Selection Criteria

1. Evidence of a Medical qualification that is registrable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Letter of support from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons supporting Fellowship placement in General Surgery and indicating completion of fellowship training requirements in General Surgery and successful completion of the Part II examination.
3. Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education relevant to General Surgery.
4. Willing to commit to an equitable hospital on-call roster for Surgery
5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health service colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff and to work as an effective member of the clinical team.
6. Willingness to teach medical students and other staff of the health service when reasonably requested with demonstrated understanding of and commitment to clinical quality improvement and peer review, equal employment opportunity and Occupational Health Safety and Rehabilitation
7. Demonstrated significant experience relevant to General Surgery and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice, including trauma and emergency scenarios.
