What you'll be doing
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Radiation Scientist to join our Radiology Department and provide high quality diagnostic imaging services within the Western Sydney Local Health District. This role involves:
- Performing radiology examinations under the Senior Medical Radiation Scientist.
- Adhering to National Registration, professional practices, and departmental policies.
- Ensuring quality imaging standards in line with industry regulations.
- Collaborating with a skilled team in a fast paced healthcare environment.
- Contributing to continuous professional development and service improvement.
How to Apply
Essential Criteria:
- License: Eligible for or possess NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14.
- Qualification: Degree in or currently completing degree in Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- Registration: Eligible for and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in general radiography, including but not limited to general and trauma, operating suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy.
- Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
