About the role
The Performance & Value team within the Strategic Reform, Planning & Partnerships Directorate in Western NSW is seeking a skilled leader to drive excellence in clinical coding, clinical documentation, and activity-based management.
This new role will lead a high-performing team across clinical coding and clinical business partnerships within Western NSW Local Health District. The role provides an opportunity to work within a team and directorate that encompasses both operational and strategic decision-making functions while supporting professional growth.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a change process as we move to a District wide clinical coding unit while allowing for the potential to develop strategies to enhance coding quality, efficiency, and performance in the Activity Based Management space.
The successful applicant will work closely with experts in performance, analytics, coding, activity based management and finance with support and engagement from the wider team of the Strategic Reform, Planning & Partnerships Directorate.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership and people management skills to inspire and develop a team, with proven experience leading a change process. Knowledge in clinical coding standards, documentation improvement, and activity based management will be necessary for the role along with an ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
