What you'll be doing
Undertake a range of activities including assistance with monthly reporting of clinical and service activity, expenditure, revenue and budget performance, development and monitoring of budget cash flows and all related financial issues. Assist with preparation of annual financial budgets for various NSWHP portfolios. The role includes the monitoring of financial and activity performance against budgets and providing relevant variance reports in a timely manner reflecting actual performance. The position will also be involved in entry and maintenance of management accounting information.

- Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in accountancy, commerce, finance or a related discipline and/or demonstrated work experience
- Experience in preparation of monthly financial reporting and understanding of budgeting procedures and cashflow
- Excellent interpersonal skills including proven ability to communicate clearly, facilitate and express ideas clearly and coherently, and support the business to achieve required outcomes
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources to proactively identify issues and formulate strategies to address them
- Demonstrated skills in creating, maintaining and publishing documents, utilising the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel and Access
- Capacity to build and sustain positive partnerships and productive working relationships with all levels of staff that are both internal and external
- Existing knowledge of NSW Health system and relevant legislation
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, organise and prioritise high-volume workloads.
