Are you a strategic leader with a passion for workforce planning and medical education? Join one of NSW’s leading tertiary hospitals as the Junior Medical Officer (JMO) Manager at John Hunter Hospital.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the efficient administration and support of JMOs, including interns and RMOs, ensuring their wellbeing, compliance, and optimal placement across the facility. Reporting to the Director of Prevocational Education and Training (DPET) and the Director of Medical Services (DMS), you’ll provide high-level operational, financial, and strategic oversight to the JMO Unit.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading HR functions, rostering, recruitment, and workforce planning for JMOs
- Managing the DPET budget and ensuring compliance with award and accreditation standards
- Supporting training accreditation processes and JMO wellbeing initiatives
- Overseeing grievance resolution, payroll services, and personnel records
- Coordinating domestic elective placements and acting as secretariat for key committees
- Contributing to business planning and strategic hospital initiatives
