What you'll be doing.
The incumbent is required to lead the Financial Accounting team in ensuring that a professional and timely function is maintained. Ensure standardised, contemporary accounting policies, procedures, reports and controls are developed and maintained across the District.

ISLHD operate four hospital sites on Dharawal Country in the Illawarra: Coledale Hospital, Bulli Hospital, Wollongong Hospital and Shellharbour Hospital and Port Kembla Hospital.

Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics or related discipline or other relevant experience.
- Self-motivated and an ability to lead and motivate others with extensive experience and successful track record in managing a team involved in a complex range of accounting activities.
- Demonstrated ability in the development of accounting policy, procedures and principles.
- Sound understanding of contemporary health policy, strategies and issues and knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and their application in the public health system.
- Ability to undertake complex financial analyses using various statistical techniques and computerised packages.
This is a temporary full time 38 hours per week leave relief position until 18 January 2026 with the possibility of extension.
