About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. A hospital scientist is needed for Sydney Local Health District's Institute of Precision Medicine & Bioinformatics. The role focuses on pharmacogenomics in precision medicine, with applications across RPA and Concord hospitals. There are opportunities to gain experience in other laboratory technologies and collaborate with the Sydney Local Health District’s Digital Health and Innovation team, especially in the applications of AI in laboratory and clinical practice. This role is a full-time ongoing position.

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently has Bachelor or higher degree in Science/Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Able to work in a responsible and efficient manner and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Has experience with software for the identification and interpretation of DNA variants.
