Kurri Kurri Hospital offers a vast range of healthcare services, including emergency care, inpatient treatment, operating theatres, and rehabilitation services. While providing community health programs aimed at promoting long-term wellness and managing chronic conditions.
The hospital is centrally located which helps ensure easy access to high-quality healthcare for both residents and visitors.
Kurri Kurri is a lively town in the Hunter Region of NSW, renowned for its beautiful murals and strong sense of community. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a homely atmosphere, just a short 30-minute drive from Newcastle and close to the renowned wine region!



About the role 
In this role, you will play an important part in supporting patient care and ensuring a safe environment within our facility. 

Responsibilities include

  • Direct patient contact, assisting in patient care and inner facility transfers 
  • You will be involved in lifting and moving patients, ensuring personal hygiene needs are met
  • Perform cleaning duties as per established practices to uphold infection control measures. 
  • Manage challenging patient situations with professionalism, understanding and empathy.
  • Carry out core security tasks such as customer service, patrols, respond to alarms, and access control.

Support 

  • Your direct line manager will be your primary support, with regular contact from the security lead at Maitland Hospital
  • You’ll receive orientation and education to help you in your role
  • Ongoing training including site-specific and manual handling techniques 
  • We welcome any requests for further training or quality improvement suggestions.
