We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Security Assistant to join our team at Singleton Hospital. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting patient care and ensuring a safe environment within our facility. Your responsibilities will include direct patient contact, assisting in patient care and inner facility transfers. You will be involved in lifting and moving patients, ensuring personal hygiene needs are met.


You will also be required to perform cleaning duties as per established practices to uphold infection control measures. You must have the ability to manage challenging patient situations with professionalism, understanding and empathy. You will also carry out core security tasks such as customer service, patrols, respond to alarms, and access control. 



Please note this position consists of night shifts only. Part-time applications may be considered!

About you: 
The successful candidate will join a supportive environment where ongoing training and orientation, including site-specific and manual handling techniques, will be provided. To excel in this position, you must be proactive with a friendly can-do attitude. You must be a team player but also have the ability and initiative to work alone. You must possess strong organisational skills with the drive to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. A commitment to providing high quality, professional customer service to all patients, staff and visitors to the hospital is highly advantageous. 


You must have:

  • Class 1A security licence under the Security Industry Act, 1997
  • Ability to work shift work.
