You’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of inpatient settings, be mentored by passionate educators and clinical leaders, and receive tailored professional development to support your transition into the workforce.
Areas You’ll Gain Experience In
Our program offers a broad exposure to four core domains of nursing care, helping you build a well-rounded skill set:
- Medical Ward
Develop your fundamental nursing skills in a fast-paced, acute environment. Learn to assess and care for a range of patients with complex medical conditions, while improving your time management and clinical judgment. - Surgical Ward
Get involved in pre- and post-operative care, wound management, pain control, and discharge planning. Working closely with the surgical team, you’ll gain insight into patient recovery pathways and surgical interventions. - Palliative Care
Make a meaningful impact supporting patients and families during some of their most vulnerable moments. Learn to deliver compassionate, person-centred care that focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life. - Stroke Unit
Build specialist knowledge in stroke rehabilitation and neurological assessment. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to support patients through the early stages of recovery and promote functional independence.
Depending on your preference, you may rotate across these areas or remain on a single ward for a consistent experience with targeted mentorship.
