Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.  What you'll be doing

The Electrician performs efficient and compliant reactive maintenance works and planned maintenance activities f or all electrical systems, plant and equipment including mandatory inspections in a cost effective and timely manner .

The role provides electrical maintenance services in line with the NSW Health total asset management guidelines, ensuring compliance with statutory, legislative and code requirements including satisfying Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) strategic and business objectives.

Essential Criteria:

License: Current NSW Electrical Trade Licence and Certificate

Electrical Tradesperson Level 1:Completed Apprenticeship and/or holds relevant trade certificate or equivalent
Electrical Tradesperson Level 2:120 hours of approved courses completed
Electrical Tradesperson Level 3:240 hours of approved courses completed
Electrical Tradesperson Level 4:360 hours of approved courses completed

Selection Criteria:

  1. Current NSW Electrical Trade Licence and Certificate
  2. Demonstrated skill in fault diagnosis and rectification
  3. Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills, which lead to effective relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.
  4. Demonstrated experience using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and experience in/or exposure to Oracle, and computer maintenance management software including Building Management Systems.
  5. Experience in the electrical maintenance of systems, plant and equipment which is normally found in health facilities
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety obligations to staff, visitors and patients by being actively involved in the workplace.
  7. Experience in the maintenance and operation of HVAC plant and equipment, C-Bus lighting systems and PLC.
