About the opportunity:

The Eating Disorders Program Lead is part of and leads a specialist multidisciplinary team of caring health professionals supporting care of people with an eating disorder and their families presenting to South Eastern Sydney Local Health District services. This includes consultation, education and guidance supervision to SESLHD clinicians including generalist inpatient and community services on assessment, clinical management, treatment and discharge planning relating to eating disorders. The role also supports the implementation of the NSW Service Plan for People with Eating Disorders 2021-2025.

Selection Criteria:

 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a clinical field, such as Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Dietetics or Occupational Therapy, or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience in a clinical field.
  2. Demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in contemporary evidence-based identification, assessment, management and treatment of people with eating disorders and their families.
  3. Demonstrated strong clinical, advocacy and leadership skills to influence workplace culture and lead change in multidisciplinary areas.
  4. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and advocacy skills.
  5. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
  6. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated experience in planning, development, implementation and evaluation at strategic and service levels within a high volume dynamic work environment.
  8. Current drivers licence, with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
