What you'll be doing

An exciting opportunity for the Director to lead the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Support Service, overseeing the strategic planning and service delivery.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience working in a Health management position with extensive knowledge of the challenges in the NSW public health system.
  2. Sound understanding of the end-of-life care landscape in NSW; NSW Health policies and procedures affecting VAD services; and the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2022.
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a complex health service involving sensitive clinical, strategic, or operational issues with high-level critical thinking and sound decision making.
  4. Demonstrated achievement in successfully leading teams, preferably in a new and/or evolving health service, including managing and coaching managers; building capability; developing and meeting performance goals; and driving a culture of excellence and one of patient focused work
