About the role
Are you a skilled technician looking for a rewarding career in healthcare? Join our dedicated team, based at Tamworth Hospital within the Dialysis Unit.
You will play a crucial role in supporting dialysis equipment across both hospital-based units and home patients throughout the New England region. You will be part of the wider Dialysis Technical Service, that operates across the whole of HNELHD Renal Network.
In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of specialised dialysis equipment.
Working with minimal supervision, your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshooting issues and carrying out repairs, ensuring optimal functionality of equipment
- Handling a range of medical and scientific instruments, including electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components.
- Providing expert guidance and training to nursing staff and home dialysis patients on the proper use of dialysis equipment.

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
