About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Dietetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals in a temporary full time position as Level 4 Senior Diabetes Dietitian role.

This position offers the opportunity to work within the Diabetes Service (MDEMS) & Dietetics team. Services provided may include adults and paediatrics predominantly in the outpatient setting with some involvement with diabetes inpatients who require dietetic intervention. Campbelltown Hospital is currently undergoing a significant redevelopment which will provide new and expanded clinical services.

 

What You'll be Doing
This position is responsible for providing patient centered and high quality nutrition services to clients in [insert facility, service or LGA], including applying high level clinical skills to patients as per caseload/clinical specialty; supervising students and dietitians as appropriate; and participating in ongoing professional development.

The position will also provide leadership in quality improvement, service development and evaluation, and support educational activities related to their clinical expertise.

The position supports the head of department with advice on clinical service development, practice and redesign in response to demand and client needs as per caseload/clinical specialty; and advocates across the local health district.

Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.

Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

 

 The hospitals share a close-knit, community-focused team dedicated to delivering safe, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi-million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities.

  1. Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics giving eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  2. Extensive relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management 3 / 3 of complex case loads including experience in the area of diabetes
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills, negotiation skills; and excellent computer skills including CBORD
  4. Experience leading service development and quality improvement activities
  5. Experience in clinical supervision of staff and students
