About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Medical Device Integration Engineer to join our Clinical Technology team at Hunter New England Health District. This role is integral to ensuring that all medical devices scoped for integration are seamlessly connected to EPIC - Our Single Digital Patient Records (SDPR) System. Working alongside clinical technology, NSW Health SDPR project team and various vendor stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, upgrading and interfacing medical devices to EPIC, ensuring interoperability, compliance and compatibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess medical devices for compatibility with EPIC and provide expert recommendations.
- Perform necessary upgrades and initiate updates to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement and connect medical devices to the EPIC system.
- Work closely with clinicians to ensure best practices in medical device integration.
- Liaise with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive successful deployment.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a clinical technology/biomedical engineering environment, with at least 3 years focused on medical IT systems and equipment integration.
- Strong technical expertise in medical device networking, interfaces, and EMR systems.
- Knowledge of relevant interoperability standards such as HL7 and DICOM.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and recommend biomedical equipment integration protocols and deployment strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
