As the Clinical Psychologist in the Therapy Team, you will provide psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention to children referred to the Head to Health Kids Hub Service. You will work as a part of a multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health clinicians, as well as other support positions.

The Kids Hub Service prioritises referrals for vulnerable families, therefore the intervention approach requires the child be seen within the context of the family and their social support structures. The role will require family and child-focused therapeutic interventions, with an emphasis on attachment, parent-child relationship and parenting capacity to meet the emotional needs of their child. A range of therapeutic approaches will be required for caseload, including: provision of psychoeducation, working directly with children or their parents/carers, family therapy work, group work and telehealth service provision.

This new service is part of a nation-wide roll out of Kids Hubs jointly funded by NSW Health and the Australian Government to provide early intervention mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years.
