Are you an experienced Clinical Psychologist who enjoys helping young people on their journey to recovery? The Adolescent Service, CAMHS, Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Service, has a temporary vacancy for an experienced  full-time Clinical Psychologist.

 

This position is part of a multidisciplinary team which provides assessment and treatment of young people with moderate to severe mental health problems.

  1. Provide assessment and treatment of adolescents and their families with mental health problems. 
  2. Provide assessment and report of mental health problems of adolescents and their families through psychometric testing, clinical interview and /or family interview. 
  3. Provide treatment of mental health problems through evidence based interventions for example, behaviour therapies, cognitive behavioural therapies, DBT, individual psychotherapy, family therapy and group therapy. 
  4. Participate in evaluation of assessments and treatment. 
  5. Maintain case records, EMR, MHOAT and follow clinic office procedures including feedback to referral sources. 
  6. Take new referrals as part of rostered intake duty. 
  7. Liaison with school counsellors, teachers, Dept. of Family and Community Services, Sydney Children's Hospital staff and other agencies as required.

Selection Criteria:

 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, AHPRA and full endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia AHPRA with a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology.
  2. Experience and demonstrated capacity in CBT, DBT, group work, family and individual psychotherapy with adolescents.
  3. Expertise and demonstrated capacity in assessment and specialized treatments for adolescents with specific mental health problems.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively and effectively in a multidisciplinary mental health team.
  5. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Demonstrated capacity to perform duties at a high professional standard.
