This clinical psychologist role will provide high quality, evidence based psychological assessment and intervention services to patients/consumers of the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care services at The Sutherland Hospital.
Selection Criteria:
1. Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with Endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
2. Demonstrated experience in the provision of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and evaluation of clinical outcomes with patients requiring rehabilitation and/or palliative care services.
3. Capacity to design and implement short and medium term, individual treatment protocols for a range of psychological issues.
4. Demonstrate high level written and verbal communication skills, organisational skills and time management skills
5. Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff
6. Demonstrated experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a health setting
7. Demonstrated experience in and commitment to quality improvement and research
