We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing radiotherapy at the Illawarra Cancer Care Centre (ICCC). In this key role, you will collaborate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, utilizing your advanced clinical expertise in Radiation Oncology. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, offering expert consultation, and providing education and support to patients and staff alike.As a CNS2, you will demonstrate advanced clinical practice, leadership, and decision-making skills, while actively contributing to the development of nursing practice and quality improvement initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to lead clinical education, influence service delivery, and implement evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes. Your expertise in chemotherapy and other interventions will help shape the patient journey from presentation through to discharge.This role offers a chance to make a real difference in a dynamic, supportive environment, where your contributions to research, clinical development, and service excellence are highly valued. Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500.
