  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with relevant post registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  2. Demonstrate the application of professional and ethical boundaries in the delivery of patient care in the context of a multidisciplinary team and the application of evidence-based practice, trauma informed care and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care patient care.
  3. Demonstration of effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills within a multidisciplinary team and Provide evidence in court as requested within the scope of the nurse's expertise based on training and experience.
  4. Demonstrated evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competency of skills, with a willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to participate and provide timely responses as a forensic medical examiner in a multidisciplinary team providing 24/7 on call responses to violence, abuse and neglect.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of; Child Protection Policy and Procedures in NSW Health and issues relating to Young People and Adults affected by Sexual Assault.
  7. Willingness to complete Graduate Certificate in Medical Forensic Management of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and Medical Forensic Photography and Providing a Medical and Forensic Response to DFV (nationally recognised).
  8. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
