About The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) Palliative Care team in a temporary full-time role until June 2026. This district wide position offers a great opportunity to support Registered Nurses working in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) across the region (excluding Wingecarribee), delivering and evaluating palliative care education through the End-of-Life Directions for Aged Care (ELDAC) program. You will collaborate with a dedicated Specialist Palliative Care team comprising of a Clinical Nurse Consultant and Registered Nurses, working to improve palliative care for aged care residents.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
- Outline your experience in competency-based assessment, clinical education and delivering clinical programs with a strong foundation in adult learning principles, including knowledge of or experience in palliative care.
- Provide examples of how you demonstrated your ability to deliver safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care using evidence-based nursing practices and critical thinking.
- How do you provide effective communication skills utilising the capacity to engage collaboratively and professionally with consumers and multidisciplinary teams, with ability to personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Describe your understanding and active participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
