This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with the relevant demonstrated clinical experience, working in the CCLHD Community Nursing Continence service as a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade1 (CNC1) 

This CNC1 role has a focus on supporting the CCLHD Community Nursing teams with education, clinical expertise, patient facing and virtual care in relation to Continence and Catheter management . The role also facilitates formal education and training sessions annually for other Primary health based service providers.  


As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will:

  • Provide expert clinical advice and consultancy across service groups, target populations, and healthcare professionals.

  • Take a leadership role in developing and implementing best practice standards, policies, and protocols.

  • Act as a clinical expert, professional role model, and change agent within the multidisciplinary team.

  • Lead initiatives in clinical education, research, and practice development.

  • Support and mentor nursing and allied health staff to promote high standards of care, safety, and innovation.

  • Drive quality improvement and patient safety strategies aligned with organisational goals.

About You:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • At least five years full-time equivalent post registration and/or an approved relevant post registration qualification or experience deemed appropriate by the employer
  • Proven leadership and consultancy experience within complex healthcare environments.

  • Skilled in building collaborative, respectful relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong commitment to research, education, and continuous improvement in clinical practice.
