Career Medical Officer - Sexual Health Medicine
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in Sexual Health Medicine at a senior level, and the ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice. Demonstrated at least five years full-time equivalent postgraduate clinical experience, and at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in sexual health medicine. Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine and/or other relevant specialist recognition or enrolment in such a training program would be viewed favourably but is not essential.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills (written and verbal), clinical skills, judgement and expertise, teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to supervision and training of junior medical staff, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Evidence of the following attributes: ability to work under pressure; ability to work effectively as part of a team; ability to be flexible, organized and autonomous.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and professional development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education and continuing professional development.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 Licence acceptable) or overseas equivalent eligible for a Driver's Licence in Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of the Sydney Local Health District, including the provision of services to local community, effective use of resources, preparedness to participate in provision of health services at District level, if credentialed.
