Join our Strategic Communications and Engagement Branch at NSW Ministry of Health for a unique ongoing role in our media team.


Help lead a busy, high performing team as the Associate Director of the NSW Health media team. This is an exciting role, in that two days a week you will help provide coverage as the Acting Director of the Media team on top of your substantive role the remaining 3 days.

Applications will be considered for either:

  1. One application for both roles, or
  2. One application for either the three-day or two-day part time role

We are offering an exceptional opportunity to step into two key leadership roles:

  • Ongoing, part-time (0.6FTE), Crown Clerk Grade 11/12 Associate Director role (pro rata)
  • Ongoing, part-time (0.4FTE), Band 1, Public Service senior executive (PSSE) role (pro rata)

About you

We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • Relevant qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in public affairs and media
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
  • Experience providing communications advice in crisis situations.
  • The ability to work across a roster including after hours and weekends.
