About the role

Riverlands Inpatient Withdrawal Unit has an opportunity for an Assistant in Nursing to join the team in Lismore. The Assistant in Nursing provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with patient care interventions as directed and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required within NNSW Alcohol and Other Drugs Services. 

Working as an integral part of the team we will provide you with training, professional development and support in the role of caring for people with experiencing difficulties with substance use and withdrawal. Alcohol and Other Drugs Services provide a safe and inclusive environment that operate under the recovery orientated principles, least restrictive care guidelines and being trauma informed in our application to practice.
