SLHD is currently recruiting to casual Assistant in Midwifery positions.

 Are you currently in your second year of a Bachelor of Midwifery degree and have current Australian work rights?

About the Role
   
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. 
 
An Assistant in Midwifery (AIM) works within a Midwifery plan of care under the supervision and direction of the Registered Midwife (RM) and within the limits of the AIM position description and local policy and protocol.

Ideal Candidate
  • Is currently enrolled as a Midwifery Student (with successful completion of at least two semesters). 
  • Can commit to a minimum of one shift per month on a casual basis.

  • Has demonstrated the ability to conduct nursing practice in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups.
