As a leader, you’ll have the chance to challenge yourself by managing and guiding teams through complex situations, ensuring the hospital runs smoothly during evening and overnight shifts. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the flow of patients throughout the hospital, making quick decisions to prioritise care, and supporting staff to ensure patients receive the best possible treatment. What You'll be Doing
The Nurse Manager participates in or is responsible for the leadership and management of nursing services in a management unit, service, complex function or facility to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
- Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
- Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the service/facility are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
