What you'll be doing
• Patient assessment and consultations.
• Supervising and performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
• Providing patient care as required.
• Reporting scans.
• Communicating with other medical staff.
• Participating in relevant education.
• Teaching.
• Case reviews.
• Research, audit and quality activities.
Advanced Trainees in Nuclear Medicine will follow a consultation plan and design appropriate scans for the patient, under supervision of the Director and/or the Consultant Physician of the day. They will undertake supervised tuition in Physics of Nuclear Medicine under the supervision of the Medical Physicist or equivalent within the department. In addition, the Advanced Trainee may also be tutored on the appropriate use of the technology under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Technologists. They will participate in reporting of all diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine studies under the supervision of the Consultant Physician of the day.
By the end of the academic year the Advanced Trainee should be in a position to undertake a scan for the appropriate reasons and be able to report the result of the scan in an appropriate manner under the guidance of the Consultant Physician.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
