About the Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. 

   

Provide a comprehensive range of reception and administration duties including front line services to all patients within Drug Health Services. The administration officer team supports the DHS Management Team, as well as Staff Specialist and clinical staff; to ensure the efficient and effective running of the department and maintain high professional standards for Drug Health Services.

Ideal Candidate

  • Certificate 3 in Health Administration or equivalent experience and typing skills 40-50wpm. 
  • Excellent communication and personal skills with an ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. 
  • Ability in preparing high level written correspondence, including letters and reports, preparing agendas, minute taking and information distribution. 
  • High level of initiative and flexibility and ability to work with minimal supervision with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and initiate own work, displaying analytical and problem solving skills and willingness to work within a shared administrative model as part of a multidisciplinary team.
