Where You Will Be Working

Located in Metford, Maitland Hospital offers a supportive and dynamic workplace environment. As part of our Administration Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of multiple hospital departments, including the Emergency Department, Switchboard, Admissions, Late List bookings, and Outpatients.

Our Administration Team is led by an enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) who fosters growth, teamwork, and inclusivity. You’ll join a group of professionals dedicated to making a meaningful difference in patient care while participating in hospital and community celebrations like NAIDOC Week, RUOK Day, Carers Week, and more.


What You Will Be Doing

As an Administration Officer in this leave relief position, you will provide an efficient and effective administrative/clerical service. This 24/7 role offers a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of hospital administration duties, making every day unique and fulfilling.

  • Be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service across phone, email, and in-person enquiries.
  • Build positive relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential filing systems.
  • Prioritise tasks to meet departmental needs effectively.
  • Uphold excellence, respect, and cultural inclusion in line with health values and standards.
  • Provide flexible support across the hospital, enhancing your skills and contributing to patient care.
