As we continue to redefine the landscape of paediatric care with our innovative Virtual Urgent Care Service, we're looking for dedicated professionals to join our Administration Team. In this pivotal role, you'll provide invaluable support to our Virtual Urgent Care Service, acting as the essential link that keeps our operations running smoothly.

At HNE Virtual KIDS, we're on a mission to streamline urgent paediatric care, offering children and young people, aged 0-17, across NSW the care they need without the hassle of traditional hospital visits. As part of our Administration Team, you'll play a crucial role in making this mission a reality.

About the role:
Join the Pioneers of Paediatric Healthcare: If you're ready to be the backbone of our transformative healthcare service and help shape the future of paediatric care, seize this opportunity. The role will encompass a variety of essential tasks including:

  • Call Coordination: You'll be the friendly voice families hear first when seeking our services, skilfully directing their calls to the appropriate nurse.
  • Roster Management: Keeping our team organised and ready to respond to every child's needs is essential. You'll be responsible for managing nurse, administration and medical rosters, ensuring seamless coverage 7 days a week.
  • Supply Chain Management: We rely on efficient supply management to maintain our high standard of care. You'll be in charge of ordering and maintaining essential supplies to support our Virtual Urgent Care Service.
  • Patient Admission/Appointments: Children in need of our care should experience a smooth transition into our system. You'll handle admissions and appointments via our Patient Management System, ensuring a seamless start to their care journey.
  • Discharge Coordination: When children are ready to leave our care, you'll facilitate the process by sending discharge letters to their GPs, ensuring continued care and a well-documented medical history.
  • Recruitment Support: We're always on the lookout for exceptional talent to join our team. Your assistance in recruitment activities will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve more families.

You won't be working in isolation. You'll collaborate closely with our nursing, medical and management team, fostering a spirit of teamwork that is essential for our success. Additionally, you'll receive support and guidance from the Administration Service Manager for CYPFYS. Embrace a dynamic routine with rotating shifts – spanning mornings to evenings, seven days a week. Each day offers fresh challenges and opportunities to make a difference. This role is supported by the Clerical Manager, NUM, and NSW Virtual Urgent Care Project Manager. They work amongst the greater administration team within John Hunter Children’s Hospital. Training and support are provided to all applicants regarding virtual care and the computer platforms being used.
