About the Role:
We’re seeking a high-performing and adaptable Administration Officer to support the Nursing & Midwifery Directorate at James Fletcher Hospital. This isn’t your typical admin gig — it’s a dynamic, high-touch role where your work directly contributes to workforce and recruitment strategies across portfolios such as clinical practice, leadership, and professional development.
Based in the Officer’s Quarters building, this role will see you supporting a talented and friendly team — with opportunities to step up when needed, grow your skills, and make a meaningful impact.
In this role, you'll:
- Provide high-level administrative support across nursing workforce portfolios
- Contribute to workforce and recruitment coordination
- Liaise with senior clinical staff including Nurse Managers and portfolio leads
- Support report creation, data entry, and document formatting with flair and precision
- Step into other admin functions (e.g. higher duties) to support internal growth and flexibility
- Work closely with a supportive team with strong onboarding and ongoing development
About You:
You’re proactive, tech-savvy and thrive on variety.
Whether it’s juggling reports, coordinating recruitment systems, or stepping up to support the team, you’re up for the challenge.
You bring both sharp attention to detail and high-level communication skills — verbal and written.
You must have:
- Strong administrative experience, ideally within health or a complex environment
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated capability in document formatting, reporting and data presentation
- Proven proficiency with systems such as MS Office Suite; experience with recruitment systems (e.g. ROB) highly desirable
- Ability to work flexibly and independently, while contributing to a strong, collaborative team culture
Why Join James Fletcher?
This role is more than a desk job — it's a chance to thrive within a collaborative, flexible and forward-thinking workplace.
You’ll benefit from:
- A welcoming, people-first team with strong leadership and mentoring
- Flexible work practices and family-friendly policies (e.g. negotiable start/finish times)
- Opportunities for internal mobility and career progression
- A team that values your growth, wellbeing and contributions
- Access to ongoing training, skill development and regular feedback
- Salary packaging, job stability, and generous leave entitlements
