Where you'll be working:
This position is a temporary role and will be to provide relief from March 2025 to March 2026. You will be working within the Hunter Integrated Pain Service, based at the Lodge building on the John Hunter Hospital campus. This multidisciplinary service is dedicated to improving the lives of people experiencing chronic pain through education, treatment plans, and support for healthcare professionals.
The Hunter Integrated Pain service is a multi-disciplinary service that works collectively to support patients who experience chronic pain through outpatient appointments. It focuses on education, self-management strategies, and tailored treatment plans to improve patients' quality of life. We provide advice and education to General Practitioners in the community on how to support patients who are living with chronic pain.
About the role:
- Provide administrative support to the Hunter Integrated Pain Service (HIPS) clinicians to assist them with treating patients who use our service.
- Medical typing and distribution of Medical letters.
- Booking of outpatient appointments and assistance with waitlist management
- Provide secretarial support by answering the phone and assisting with general admin tasks
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated self-driven capability in administrative support and be passionate about delivering services that make a positive difference to the community.
