Selection Criteria
- Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant tertiary and/ or post graduate qualifications in health management; education or similar studies; health policy and planning; business or associated fields or working towards same.
- Knowledge of state, national and international issues, policies and directions affecting nursing and midwifery. Extensive and diverse management experience.
- Demonstrated skills in the development of innovative and effective recruitment and retention strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans at an organisational wide level.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise a broad range of communication skills selectively in a wide variety of settings.
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills in order to engage key stakeholders in the development and adoption of marketing, recruitment and retention strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with industrial matters and grievance.
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances within the Health District with some overnight stays.
