Our AOT is a vibrant, non-acute community team that supports people within the Central Coast Local Health District, offering intensive and tailored support to those with complex mental health needs. As an Occupational Therapist on our team, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping individuals reclaim their independence and navigate daily life with confidence – all while being part of a compassionate and collaborative team.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist in the Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team (AOT), you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver consumer-centered care and contribute to life-changing outcomes for individuals with complex mental health needs. Your role will involve working closely with consumers, their families, carers, and multidisciplinary health teams, to provide clinical recommendations and therapeutic support that is aligned with the current mental health clinical guidelines and best practice standards. You will be working at the Toukley Health Centre which is operational Monday to Friday.

About You

  • You are Qualified as an Occupational Therapist with current Registration with AHPRA
  • You have a current unrestricted drivers licence
  • Brings a passion for working in mental health and understands the unique challenges of community-based care.
  • Possesses exceptional communication skills and thrives when working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Is flexible and can adapt to the unique needs of individuals, offering a personalized approach to each client.
