Selection Criteria:
  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  2. Obtained or eligible for FRACS (RACS Surgical Fellowship) or recognised international surgery specialist qualification. Demonstrate an interest in Paediatric Surgery including subspecialties.
  3. Paediatric surgery experience in a tertiary centre.
  4. Excellent communication skills with leadership and team building skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
  5. Demonstrated aptitude for clinical and academic paediatric surgical and related teaching of Medical Students, Junior medical staff and other clinical staff in theatres, clinics and at formal teaching sessions.
  6. Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to supervise Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
  7. Demonstrated interest, motivation and capability in research.
  8. Emergency Management of Severe Trauma Course (EMST / APLS/ ATLS or equivalent) or registered to undertake one before starting in position.

Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
