Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).

Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in social work assessment, crisis intervention and counselling with adolescents and young adults and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with relevant demonstrated skills relevant to coping with illness, disability and bereavement
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of developmental frameworks and the impact of chronic illness, disability, treatment and hospitalisation on the adolescent, young adult and family.
- Well-developed time management skills, ability to work with minimum supervision, excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills and high level computer literacy
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build therapeutic relationships.
- Commitment to professional supervision, building professional skills and capacity, and willingness to seek appropriate guidance and direction
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
- Ability to participate in the After Hours Crisis On-Call Social Work Service and Current Driver Licence valid within Australia
