What you'll be doing
This position requires demonstration of senior clinical leadership within Social Work service provision and advanced reasoning and practice skills on circumstances of complex nature. Services are providedto clients, families and carers in a community health setting.
This Level 3 Social Work Senior operates autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision and has a consultative role within their area of speciality. They are also required to provide mentorship and support in the development of staff working in grief, bereavement and end of life care.
They are involved with planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting on clinical services and are involved in the implementation of WSLHD protocols, quality improvement initiatives, policies and procedures.
The position is expected to work from different locations across WSLHD as reasonably responsible.

- Qualification: Qualification: Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work
Selection Criteria:
- Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work with demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experiences in the provision of community Social Work, including palliative care.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience or capability in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement, and in providing training and education with experience in staff and/or student supervision.
- Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and / or clinical practice improvement activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work with consumers, families and carers in a time of high levels of family stress.
- Good computer skills, including experience using Cerner eMR or equivalent.
- Drivers license valid within Australia and willingness to use for work purposes.
