Where you'll be working


Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing


To provide an excellent standard of high level assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing impairments to patients within all relevant services.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology

Registration: Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia

Selection Criteria

  • Advanced competency demonstrated in the management of adults with swallowing disorders (including the provision of objective assessment) and communication impairments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work independently, displaying excellent time management and organisation.
  • Actively practices the principles of Evidence Based Practice and engages in professional development for relevant clinical areas with strong experience in quality management or research.
  • Prior experience in the provision of clinical supervision and training of staff and/or students.
  • An understanding of service co-ordination, evaluation, planning and development
