Remuneration: $72,152.53 - $101,299.48 per annum

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. The Registered Nurse Mental Health provide clinical services that focus on the care of people with mental health problems by promoting psychological and physical well-being and emotional health. This can be working with their clients to understand their mental health conditions, to learn how to manage their symptoms and be aware of what can exacerbate their mental health condition.
The Registered Nurse Mental Health works closely with a multidisciplinary health team to facilitate the provision of coordinated clinical care and treatment that provides comfort, safety, and non-judgmental acceptance of clients, to help them improve their health status.

- Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Registered Nurse who has completed a new graduate RN program or experience working as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated experience working with people presenting with an acute mental health problem
- Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team within minimal direct clinical supervision
- Proven effective high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to exercise independent professional judgement when solving problems
- Working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers and carers regarding mental health care
- An understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice
- Current NSW drivers licence
