Selection Criteria

 1. Higher medical professional training in health or related discipline with postgraduate qualification in medical administration, business management or health services management

2. Significant experience as a medical leader in a broad-based management, administrative, public health or clinical discipline, with capacity to build culture in a multidisciplinary team.

3. Extensive experience in policy development and review, and program development, implementation, and evaluation, with ability to apply valid research methods to public policy and programs.

4. Advanced oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, to interact effectively with staff, managers and external stakeholders, make effective presentations and prepare, review and edit correspondence, briefings, reports, papers and proposals.

5. Advanced conceptual and analytical skills and ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately.

6. Demonstrated high level time-management and organisational skills and capacity to deliver high quality products within agreed timeframes including ability to delegate effectively and to contribute to the success of others.

7. Demonstrated experience in strategic workforce planning, including proven ability to implement contemporary workforce models that adapt to changing models of service delivery, as well as successful participation in leading staff through a large capital expansion project involving complex change management
