Selection Criteria

• Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

   

• Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award

• Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice requirements of the position

• Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner

• Evidence of subspecialty training/experience in Trauma and Acute General Surgery

• Demonstrated subspecialty training/experience in Surgical Critical Care or ability to undergo further critical care training during the term of appointment
