Selection Criteria
- Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.
Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
Sound clinical knowledge in Emergency Medicine demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including:
High level interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision.
Working with Children Check
